Abstract

This research investigates the factors influencing the career path and Progress of women in sports management. It employs a strategic and mixed research methodology, focusing specifically on women's employment in the sports sector. Semi-structured interviews and a systematic review of previous studies are used in the qualitative section. The population includes individuals such as managers, commission members, Olympic national committees, vice presidents, Tehran Municipality sports organization, sports federations, and experienced academic members in sports organizations. Then, utilizing Visio software, identified factors are categorized and prioritized in Ishikawa diagrams. The fuzzy Delphi method is utilized for solution development, providing a comprehensive, systemic, and long-term view of women's employment in sports. The research has achieved theoretical saturation and sufficiency. Sampling is conducted through purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Solutions and facilitators such as support from higher-level organizations, amendment of laws and regulations, and implementation of gender equality policies are examined. Additionally, factors such as cultural transformation, strengthening media roles, role modeling, societal perspective shift, and women's empowerment are highlighted as influential in women's advancement in sports management. Effectively improving the career paths and advancement of women in sports management is an achievable goal that requires the commitment and cooperation of all members of the sports community. Women are present in this field with great talent and abilities and should have equal opportunities to flourish professionally. Effectively improving this path requires changes in the structures, culture and perceptions of society.
