Abstract
Women's sports have positive effects on their health and the society and are of particular importance. However, throughout history, due to various reasons, there have been inequalities for them, one of which is gender inequality in sports. The purpose of the current research was to investigate the right of women to sports in Iran's laws and regulations and international documents. Methodology: This research was qualitative type and done with content analysis method. The statistical population include national and international laws and regulations related to women's right to sports and the data collection tool was a coding checklist. Results: Many national laws and international document have emphasized on women's sports, but responsible organizations have not fulfilled their duties as they should in the field of women's sports and they have not provided equal conditions for women to benefit from sports facilities. In the international dimension, It seems that in most disciplines, it is possible to comply with international regulations, while maintaining religious requirements and imperative rules of domestic. Conclusion: In order to improve the existing conditions and provide equal conditions for women's sports in the country's sports arena, the laws must be revised and implemented with guarantees. In the field of international sports, due to the compliance international sports organizations from international laws, in order to prevent the restrictive actions of these institutions against the sports of the country It is recommended to make the effort to adapt domestic regulations to international standards with full preservation of religious and internal rules
