Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the social factors affecting the entry of women into the sports management structure of Iran. The research had a qualitative approach. The statistical sample included sociologists (6), female (9) and male (5) sports managers who had service experience in the Ministry of Sports and Youth and sports institutions and female athletes who were members of national teams (4). Sampling was done purposefully and with the snowball method, and the data reached theoretical saturation after conducting 24 interviews. To analyze the data, the coding method was used in three steps. 282 open codes and 35 core codes were extracted. Causal conditions (social conflicts, recognition of cultural differences, social norms, administrative health), contextual conditions (personal characteristics, social contexts, organizational contexts, laws and regulations), intervening conditions (customary policies, Ethnicism, environmental communication, extra-organizational pressures, the presence of patriarchal thinking in managing affairs, intra-organizational relations, planned decisions, lack of belief in women's abilities), strategies (empowering women, amending laws and regulations, Creating a healthy atmosphere in the administrative environment, social support, globalization attitude, implementation of meritocracy system) and consequences (improvement of productivity, growth of human resources, social development of the organization, participation in achieving the approved goals, creating positive competition in sports organizations and teams). It is suggested to the planners to facilitate the effective entry of women in the management of sports organizations by changing the attitude about the skills and abilities of women and creating a healthy atmosphere in the organization and the process of globalization.
